The Western Sydney junior winter cricket competition, aligned with the Thunder Conference, is open for young cricketers in U10, U12, and U14 age groups.

Competition Format:

Semi-Finals – Sunday 21st June

  • Semi 1: 1 vs 4

  • Semi 2: 2 vs 3

  • Semi 3: 5 vs 8

  • Semi 4: 6 vs 7

Finals – Sunday 28th June

  • Grand Final: Winner of Semi 1 vs Winner of Semi 2

  • 3rd Place Playoff: Loser of Semi 1 vs Loser of Semi 2

  • 5th Place Playoff: Winner of Semi 3 vs Winner of Semi 4

  • 7th Place Playoff: Loser of Semi 3 vs Loser of Semi 4

Rain Contingency:
If the semi-finals on 21st June are rained off, the finals will proceed as follows:

  • Grand Final: 1 vs 2

  • 3rd Place Playoff: 3 vs 4

  • 5th Place Playoff: 5 vs 6

  • 7th Place Playoff: 7 vs 8

  • No rain catch-up rounds will be scheduled.

  • All teams will have 9 matches across the season, ensuring fairness and equal playing opportunities.

Age Groups

  • U10's

    The U10 division is designed as an introduction to cricket, helping players learn the basics, develop fundamental skills, and experience the fun of the game in a supportive, team-focused environment.

  • U12's

    The U12 division helps players sharpen their skills and build a deeper understanding of the game. With a strong emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship, this age group provides an excellent foundation for continued growth and enjoyment in cricket.

  • U14's

    In the U14 division, the focus shifts toward competitive play and advanced skill development. Players gain valuable experience through more challenging matches, while continuing to develop their passion, confidence, and understanding of cricket.

    • U10’s can have up to 9 players participate per game. There can only be 7 players on the field at the same time.

    • U12’s can have up to 11 players participate per game. There can only be 9 players on the field at the same time.

    • U14’s and U16’s can have up to 11 players participate per game.
